Living the Dream Get Job on a Yacht.

If you like boats and the sea try to have a job on a yacht as a crew even if you don’t have any experience! You can make good money doing this. As a start you can get a deckhand or a stewardess job with no experience on some yachts if you’re willing to listen and learn, take some courses and training such as STCW95, silver service or attend the Chapman school of seamanship etc.

This can help you get a job faster and as you gain experience while working hard you can advance even to a captain one day if you will take the necessary training and courses in due time. So if you are a young guy or gal starting early in the mega yacht industry and with any luck and know how you will run a mega yacht, or be engineer, first mate, purser, chef, or chief stewardess one day.

Crew earn great salaries and get perks like full board and food, annual paid leave, insurance, tips and bonuses. In 2008 there were 25 km or 15 miles of new yacht over 80 ft under construction throughout the world. It’s estimated that 5,000 new crew will be required to fill these positions. If you like to earn good money travel the world and have fun while you doing this look for a crew job on a mega yacht. I have many friends that did that.
