Delivery by a Professional Captain & Crew.

The cost of diesel fuel has gone down, Spring is in the air, it is time to go Yachting again! Forget the naysayer, the gloom and doom pundits! Warm winds and the Caribbean are calling, April May and June are the very best months to enjoy your vessel.

Sure, it is a bit of a trip from the Carolinians or Florida but that is what professional captains and crews are for after all. Let them prep the vessel, provision it up with your favorite food and beverages wash and polish it and await your arrival.

Join your yacht in Puerto Rico or St Thomas cruise the VIs (day trips) perhaps a run down to Guadalupe or the Saints (even the Grocery stores are French).

If your insurance carrier is worried about weather later in the summer The ABCs or even VZ (a great national park) and the islands off Panama are really worth a visit,
All of this is below the Hurricane zone, and your carrier can write a geographic rider for a one time trip. When the trip is over have the vessel staged wherever you want it, even schedule your in yard period.

Let your contract crew do the heavy lifting, add a chef or cook stewardess and let your wife relax this time. You bought your yacht to travel there is no time like the present to dig out the cruising guides and GO!

Captain Jeffrey R. Herbik
USCG 1600 ton Ocean master ( 3000 ton ITC ), STCW 95 compliant, British MCA cec, exUnited States Marine Corps Officer (Armored amphibian landing craft) FAA CommercialPilot with Instrument and Multi-engine ratings. BS Villanova University.

One of the great things that I like about having different cruise ship jobs is that it enables me to cruise around the world in a luxury yacht or ship. It is an awesome experience as it makes me feel so free.
